WELLNESS
Bob H.
College Student, Green Bay, WI

Bob's mother, Debbie H., has suffered from UC since 2001. As her symptoms progressed, she spoke to a nurse who helped by ordering tests and identifying a successful treatment regimen. Debbie has been in remission for more than a year. She credits her success to speaking openly with her
GI professionals.

"The Winner of Life"
My mother, 45 years of age, has suffered from ulcerative colitis since 2001. In late 2007, her doctor told her it was time to remove her colon. She was in pain, had gained 75 pounds, had absolutely no energy and felt embarrassed to even be seen. She was living life with a constant flare.

She has been in remission for well over a year. She is full of energy, has lost over 75 pounds and on her last visit to the doctors' office, her nurse and doctor didn't even recognize her. And when they did, they were very excited and happy to see her.

Now people tell her she looks fantastic. Family, friends and the entire medical staff are amazed. The best part is she feels fantastic.

She feels like the most blessed person on earth, like the winner of life. By sharing her story, we hope to help one or perhaps many with gaining a victory over living with ulcerative colitis.
